Steak is Great

CHINESE FIVE-SPICE GRILLED FLANK STEAK

  • 1-2 regular sized flank steaks
  • ½ cup veggie oil
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese Five-Spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped (may use half the amount of dried thyme)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients and marinate steak for at least 30 minutes.  Grill at medium temperature for 5-8 minutes per side, until desired readiness is reached.  Slice into strips and serve with grilled corn and rice.
