Get Reddy
To start off our meal at Irish 31, I had tried Smithwick's, Red Ale. Red beer is something I used to drink but have gone away from it. I am glad I gave it another shot. The Red Ale was flavorful and had vibrant, red color to it. The beer brought back my quest for a fantastic red beer. For more information, visit Smithwick's. Enjoy!

Go Big!
While Ford's Garage has some great food, the drinks were not too shabby. I had the Big Wave Golden Ale from the great Kona Brewing Company. I have had their beers before but I really enjoyed Big Wave. It is a lighter beer which is perfect for the hot Florida heat. You can taste the tropics with every sip. I liked it so much I bought a six pack the next day. For more information about the beer visit Kona Brewing Company. Enjoy!

Carolina on my Mind
Last week my family and I went up to the Smoky Mountains in Bryson City, North Carolina. It was a great little vacation. The mountains and rivers were absolutely gorgeous. The cooler weather from Florida was a relief as well.
There were also great places to drink and eat. One of those places was the Nantahala Brewing Company. I tried the Pattons Run Porter and it was pretty good. The beer had a light taste compared to other Porters but it had a full flavor. My wife tried the Dirty Girl Blonde which is a light, sparking beer in which she enjoyed. Orlando Criminal Defense Attorney, William Ponall of Snure & Ponall, PA , is frequent visitor to this brewery. He really enjoys the Noon Day IPA which is one of the flagship beers for the brewery.
With the quality beer and scenic views, we will be back next time we are in the area. For more information, visit Nantahala Brewing Company. Enjoy!

All Night Long
At the Brass Tap at the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, FL, I tried a great stout. It was called Midnight Oil by Swamp Head Brewery. The beer was a savory blend of toasted oats, chocolate malts, with organic coffee. The combination was excellent. It was surprising smooth and would definitely recommend the beer. Take a Pic
The other day my wife bought some great beer called Snapshot Wheat and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Since it is a wheat beer, there was a hint of citrus. The flavor is that of a classic wheat beer but seemed to taste much lighter. I would like to try other beers from this brewery. For more information, visit New Belgium Brewery. Enjoy!

The Key to a Good Beer
What goes great after a hard day of work? That is right, a cold beer. I had the Key West Sunset Ale and it was refreshing. It is a amber ale with a hint of tropical flavor. This is more of a malty beer versus a hoppy beer. I will certainly have it again. For more information visit the Florida Beer Company. Enjoy!

Vice District Taproom - Chicago, IL
Recently I was in Chicago visiting an old friend. He took me to a great microbrewery downtown. It was called the Vice District Taproom. It had an excellent vibe to the bar. They were playing old school rap which is always a plus. The beer was excellent. We both had the South Town Small Porter. The beer had a classic malt taste to it. I will definitely be back. Hopefully they will branch out to Florida. For more information visit the Vice District Taproom. Enjoy!
