Crunchy Munchy

GRILLED CRUNCHY HAM SANDWICHES

• 8 slices white bread

• Butter or margarine, softened

• Prepared mustard

• 4 slices boiled ham

• 4 slices American cheese

• 1 tomato, thinly sliced

• 2 slightly beaten eggs

• 2 tablespoons milk

• Dash of onion salt

• 1-1/4 cups crushed potato chips

Spread 4 slices bread on one side with butter; spread remaining bread slices on one side with mustard. Top each mustard-spread slice with 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of cheese, 1 or 2 tomato slices, then a second slice of bread, buttered side down.

Combine eggs, milk, and onion salt. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture, then in crushed potato chips. Pat to secure chips to bread, turning to coat both sides. Brown on medium-hot, lightly greased griddle until crisp, about 8 minutes, turning once.
