Low and Slow - Beef

The following beef recipe comes from the Fix-It and Forget-It series of cookbooks by Phyllis Pellman Good. The particular book is called "5-Ingredient Favorites" which contains recipes to be made in the crock pot.  I hope you like it.


BARBECUED ROAST BEEF
  • 4 pound beef roast
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
Place roast in the crock pot.  In a small bowl, mix together all remaining ingredients except the brown sugar.  Pour over roast.  Cover and cook on Low for 6-7 hours.  1 hour before serving, sprinkle the brown sugar.  Enjoy!
